Today I had some exciting news. We found out my cousin left England on the 24th of September. I hoped she would arrive today, but my person said it would likely be a few days more before she comes home to us. She might not even arrive until sometime next week. After all, she has a whole ocean to cross before getting here. Of course, she will be in a box like I was for the journey, so she won't get to see the ocean on her flight from England. Oh, I do hope she arrives in time to leave with us on our vacation next Saturday! I can't imagine having to leave on a trip to the seaside without her! I am going to wait by the dolly door when the mail comes every day so I can be sure to greet her when she arrives.
In the meanwhile, I am helping my person knit a winter dress for my cousin. I will have one too, but this rose tweed colored yarn would suit my blonde cousin much better than it suits me. It was hard to knit with Patty Pink and Lily Lavendar getting tangled up in the yarn!It was a lovely fall day again. I joined my person as she sat out on the porch and read. Unfortunately, the dog was interested in Patty Pink and Lily Lavendar yet again. I am determined he is NOT burying them in the garden! I held on tight to them and he went on his way to find other things to do...perhaps to dig up one of his own toys to play with.
After we came back indoors, my person rode her " stationary exercise bike." I like to sit on the handlebars and pretend we are actually going somewhere. I use my imagination to think of riding through the fall countryside with the leaves falling about us in red, orange, and yellow. I wish we really WERE riding somewhere nice. Oh well, that is what imaginations are for...to make the ordinary things of everyday life into extraordinary adventures.
I am very glad I have a good imagination! Perhaps soon my cousin and I can imagine things together. After all, two imaginations are even better than one!
