Today it actually feels like Fall is in the air. The sky is grey and cloudy and the breeze makes me shiver a little. That is okay, though. I don't mind it so much when the breeze blows just a little cooler...it reminds me it is really Fall. Fall is my favorite season for a lot of reasons, but partly because it is Pumpkin Time. Even though it was a grey day, I decided to take my little play monsters outside for some fresh air. I named them yesterday. I hope my cousin doesn't mind when she gets here, but she can change the name of hers if she wants. Anyway, I thought Patty Pink and Lily Lavender were good names for the pretty little monsters.
I took one of my favorite blankets outside. It has a cute little monster on it and I call it my monster blanket. I like my monster blanket, but I don't think Patty Pink and Lily Lavender liked it so much. The blanket monster tried to swallow them up!

They were very lucky I was able to rescue them just in time! I told the monster blanket they were friends and not to do that again. He agreed to be nice, and now all three of my monsters are friends.
After a little while, we decided to find something else to do. I decided to have a Frog Riding Rodeo. Patty Pink and Lily Lavender did a really good job staying on the Wildest Bullfrog in the West.
After taming the Wildest Bullfrog in the West, we decided to play hide and seek. Patty Pink and Lily Lavender hid first.
It really wasn't hard to find them. I think they thought because their eyes were hidden behind the pumpkins and they couldn't see me, that I couldn't see them. They forgot their ears were sticking up over the top of the pumpkins.
My person had promised we could bake pumpkin cookies today. We all went inside. I helped put the pumpkin cookies on the cookie sheet. My monsters tried to eat the dough. Then they decided to pretend to be cookies. Fortunately, I rescued them before they went in the oven.
We tried to wait patiently as the cookies baked. I have always heard that good things come to those who wait.

Whoever said that was right. In just a little bit of time, we had some nice, warm cookies to enjoy!
